With their infectious brand of experimental punk, Ketman quickly attracted the attention of jaded rock fans hungry for something original when emerging onto the Boston scene in December 2003.
The band's sharp, observant lyrics ride the crest of Eric Penna's commanding guitar as songs driven by Jessica Lynn Townsend's explosive, acrobatic drums and Joe Marratt’s frantic bass tackle many different sounds and defy structure. At times reminiscent of alternative 80’s rockers such as Sebadoh and The Replacements, healthy doses of Minutemen-inspired slop pop, punk-infused 70’s metal and a touch of surf carry the songs along new, exciting courses. Their live show is marked by an ever evolving interpretation of their music and lyrics that has endeared them to a growing fan base throughout the Northeast.
